Technological improvements have led to an increasing importance of user interfaces over the last years even regarding machines and plants. Customers expect an intuitive application with an attractive design as they are used to it in the area of consumer products (e.g. Smart Phones). In contrast, the current development processes in mechanical engineering do not focus properly on user interfaces. Therefore this paper presents a development method for user interfaces that enables an interdisciplinary collaboration between the plant and user interface engineers throughout all engineering phases. Common approaches for mechatronic development processes are combined with established development principles for user interfaces in order to achieve a purposeful development of user interfaces in the context of an industrial environment (especially production plants). In order to enable the proposed method, three interdisciplinary engineering models are adapted and extended for the present context. Finally, an outlook of further research activities, especially with respect to the evaluation of the outlined concept, is given.

Zusammenfassung: Bei nicht-iterativer Co-Simulation verursacht die notwendige Schätzung von Koppelgrößen Ungenauigkeiten und stört dadurch das simulierte Verhalten des Gesamtsystems. Eine geschickte, regelungstechnische Erweiterung der Kopplung führt zur nahezu vollständigen Kompensation der eingebrachten Störung im interessierenden Frequenzbereich. Eine beispielhafte Anwendung demonstriert die Effizienz der vorgestellten Kopplung für nicht-iterative Co-Simulation.Schlüsselwörter: Nicht-iterative Co-Simulation, schwache Kopplung, Fehlerkompensation.Abstract: Regarding non-iterative co-simulation estimation of coupling quantities introduces some kind of distortions which influence the entire simulated behavior of the system. A control-oriented modification of the coupling techniques leads to a nearly complete compensation of the introduced error over the interesting frequency range. An example demonstrates the efficiency of the novel coupling approach for non-iterative co-simulation.

The proper operation and performance of optomechatronic systems is fundamentally affected by changes of the relative geometry caused by thermal influences, mechanical displacements and vibrations. Such extrinsic and intrinsic disturbances can be compensated by active control of optical elements like lenses, diffraction gratings or laser sources. In the context with system design and performance analysis tasks it is big challenge to model and simulate the coupled optomechatronic behavior including closed-loop control and disturbances properly on a representative level. A promising approach is the integration of diffractive optic models in the well established physical object oriented modeling environment Modelica ® , which offers already a broad support of multidomain libraries, e.g. electrical, mechanical and thermal. Therefore the basic modeling requirements for diffractive optical elements are outlined followed by a discussion of possible problems and solutions for a computationally efficient implementation of a twodimensional spatial optical library for Modelicabased simulation environments.
