A large amount of policy support is spent to foster the development of rural areas in Europe. However, empirical evidence on the well-being differential between rural and urban areas in Europe is scant and incomplete. The present study develops a systematic literature review on this topic, bridging a gap in research as a systematic analysis on the subject has not been developed as far as we know. It uses the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method. The review focuses on definitions of rural-urban most used in the literature, main dimensions of well-being that are analyzed, nature of the data and, finally, evidence that emerged regarding the differences in the various dimensions of well-being between rural and urban populations. The analysis confirms that available evidence is controversial and provides advice on how to develop new and better empirical analyses on this topic.

Computational thinking (CT) is seen as a key competence of the 21st century and different countries have started to integrate it into their compulsory school curricula. However, there exist only few indications on how to assess CT in compulsory school. This review analyses which tools are used to assess CT in European schools and which dimensions of CT are assessed. We analysed 26 studies carried out between 2016 and 2020 in K-12 in Europe. The results indicate that 18 different tools have been used which can be categorized in 5 groups: questionnaires, tests/tasks, observations, interviews and analysis of products. We derived more than 50 dimensions of CT that are assessed with the tools we analysed, the vast majority of those resulting to be closer to programming skills rather than CT per se. Based on these results it seems that a common operational definition of CT, a competence model that indicates which competences students should reach at which age, and a reliable tool that allows to assess the different facets of CT are currently missing.

“…A szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés ezzel szemben mérsékelheti a heurisztikák befolyását (Spector & Thompson, 1991;Tranfield et al, 2003), így konkrétabban ismerteti a tudomány aktuális álláspontját egy problémát illetően (Rousseau et al, 2008). Továbbá kiemelhetjük, hogy a hagyományos szakirodalmi módszerekkel kapcsolatosan gyakran felmerül az a kritika, hogy az eredmények nagyon szubjektívek (Petticrew & Roberts, 2006); ezzel szemben a szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés módszerével e szubjektivitásnak jelentős része kiküszöbölhető, hiszen olyan egyértelmű protokollok alapján, lelkiismeretesen, az összes bizonyítékot figyelembe véve készülnek, amelyek segítségével bármikor reprodukálhatók. Mind a hagyományos, mind a szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés módszerénél a szakcikkek feltárásának és feldolgozásának kiindulópontja esetenként egyenlően szubjektív lehet, azonban a szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés módszer által rögzített keresési, kiválasztási és feldolgozási keretek egy bizonyos szintű objektivitást és megismételhetőséget biztosítanak (Gough & Thomas, 2012).…”

A munka és vele együtt a karrier kulcsfontosságú szerepet tölt be az egyének életében, hiszen a sikeres hivatás, illetve a kedvezően fejlődő pályafutás meghatározó eleme a beteljesült és boldog életnek. A karrierutakkal foglalkozó szakirodalom egyik lényeges kérdése, hogy léteznek-e konkrét személyiségjegyek, amelyek előrevetítik, befolyásolják a sikeres karriert. A szerző tanulmányában a szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés módszerével meghatározza és csoportosítja azokat a személyiségjegyeket, amelyek hatást gyakorolnak a szakmai mindennapokra és a pályafutás sikerességére. A tanulmány kiemelendő és új értéke, hogy az irodalomkutatás eredménye szerint nem csak a pozitívnak, de a korábban negatívnak hitt személyiségjegyek is előnyösek lehetnek az eredményes karrierút építése során. A szisztematikus szakirodalmi áttekintés összefoglalója rámutat arra is, hogy a csoportosításban szereplő személyiségjegyek milyen további hatással lehetnek a munkavállaló és a munkaadó kapcsolatára és a karrierfejlesztési beavatkozásokra.
