Abstract: Parkinsons disease (PD) is a progressive nervous system disorder characterised by the loss of dopaminergic neurons leading to motor and non-motor symptoms. Accumulation of α-synuclein protein (SNCA) in the form of Lewy bodies has been observed in dopaminergic neurons of PD patients.
