Background: Traditional medicine is a common treatment option for endometrioid-related symptoms. In the past few decades, Guixiong Xiaoyi formula has been widely used as a traditional medicine for the treatment of endometriosis. Purpose: This study aimed to prepare compound Angelica Ligusticum wallichii granule (CALG) by modern technological methods and to study its pharmacodynamics and mechanisms of treating endometriosis. Methods: The ingredients of CALG were determined by UPLC-Q-TOF/MS. Target prediction of compounds and diseases was performed using databases, and the mechanisms of CALG were predicted by Gene Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and verified by molecular docking. Furthermore, a rat model of endometriosis was established to study the effects of CALG on endometriosis in vivo. Results: CALG with good specificity, durability, and stability was obtained following a detailed preparation process and quality control standard. Using network systems pharmacology, 109 chemical compositions and 104 core targets were identified for the treatment of endometriosis. The composition-target-channel-disease network topology analysis of the top 15 chemical compositions of CALG showed that the beneficial effect of CALG on endometriosis was attributed to phenolic compounds. In addition, CALG treatment reduced the volume of ectopic uterine lesions, promoted apoptosis, inhibited the secretion of inflammatory cytokines, and increased HIF-1 expression in rats with endometriosis. Conclusion: CALG induces apoptosis and inhibits inflammation and is a promising drug for the treatment of endometriosis.

Purpose of reviewTo review the recent evidence around the treatment of infertility in patients with endometriosis.Recent findingsThe management of endometriosis associated infertility remains challenging. There have been an increasing number of prospective observational studies highlighting the role of surgery to enhance assisted conception amongst those with deep rectovaginal endometriosis. Further validation studies confirm the role of the endometriosis fertility index in prediction of reproductive outcomes after surgery, and confirm that it can be employed in counselling patients prior to surgery on their likelihood of spontaneous conception. Further randomized trials are required to establish the role of surgically treating superficial and deep endometriosis and both spontaneous and assisted conception outcomes.SummaryEndometriosis continues to present challenges in counselling patients with regards to their fertility prospects. This article reviews the recent research findings that may assist in the management of patients with endometriosis associated infertility.

A endometriose pode produzir inúmeras manifestações clínicas, apresentando estados assintomáticos ou sintomáticos, variando em intensidade e localização dependendo do grau de acometimento da doença. Os principais sintomas associados é a dismenorreia, dor pélvica crônica, dispareunia profunda, disenteria, trato urinário e infertilidade. Em última análise, afeta a saúde mental das mulheres, pois é uma patologia crônica que causa dor em sua saúde física e mental. A fisioterapia tem se destacado no tratamento de condições pélvicas dolorosas em mulheres para controle da dor através do uso de várias técnicas. Objetivo: Este estudo consiste em analisar os efeitos da fisioterapia nos sintomas de dor da endometriose. Métodos: A metodologia utilizada se deu por meio de uma revisão sistemática de literatura a partir de estudos em artigos científicos desenvolvidas de 2013 a 2023 nas bases de dados: Web of Science, Google Scholar, Scielo e PEDro. Após identificar, analisar e caracterizar os métodos de fisioterapia na dismenorreia primária. Conclusão: Constatou-se que as intervenções fisioterapêuticas: terapia manual, cinesioterapia, eletroterapia, fototerapia e outras modalidades apresentam resultados benéficos com grande importância não só na redução das dores menstruais, mas também o alívio das dores decorrentes do endométrio, também trouxe melhora de incontinência urinaria, ansiedade e dor pélvica crônica.
