In an era of increasingly fierce competition, Islamic educational institutions are considered as the main producers of Islamic education services that must market their services to consumers, namely students and student guardians, as well as other related parties. The success of an Islamic educational institution in maintaining its existence is highly dependent on its ability to market its educational services well, fulfill consumer needs, provide added value for individual development, and create a good image in the eyes of the community. This research aims to examine the concept and importance of marketing management in the context of Islamic educational institutions. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to collect data and analyze the concept of Islamic education marketing management. Data were collected through searching related literature from various sources. The results show that Islamic education marketing management is an effort to plan, implement and supervise marketing activities in Islamic education institutions in order to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively. The concept of Islamic education marketing management involves the strategy of determining the target market, competitive market position, and marketing mix which includes product, price, place, promotion, human resources, physical evidence, and process. By implementing the right marketing strategy, Islamic education institutions can increase their attractiveness, maintain their sustainability, and provide quality and relevant educational services for the community. This research makes an important contribution to the understanding of the importance of marketing management in the context of Islamic educational institutions. The implications of this research are expected to be the basis for developing effective marketing strategies in improving the existence and quality of Islamic education services in the community.

Self-assessment is an approach of self-directed learning that gives an autonomy for teachers to prepared their respective professionalism. It comes from the concept of muhasabah by Al-Ghazali aimed to form self-discipline in determining the pattern of life with self-reflect. Bandura through Social Cognitive Theory presents that teacher change arises through the teacher's own self-assessment experience. Teachers' cognitive about their practice is their perception of effectiveness in student learning. Thus, as reflective practitioners, teacher need to perform self-assessment as a process of self-reflection to identify deficiencies and weaknesses in their teaching in terms of knowledge, skill and personality. As mudarris that able to organize his teaching in an instructional manner, practicing self-assessment is the best approach to achieve a teaching objective in the classroom especially in creating the instructional quality of Islamic Education teachers.

This study aimed to describe the Teaching Effectiveness Self-Assessment (TESA) among lecturers during the COVID-19 pandemic. It involved a total of 439 samples from the three campuses (Kuala Pilah, Seremban and Rembau) in UiTM Negeri Sembilan. Data were collected via online surveys and were descriptively and inferentially analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). Findings showed that most of the lecturers (73.8%) has more than 6 years of teaching experience. Results showed that there was a significant difference in content delivery between gender at 0.5 level of significant. ANOVA test was also conducted to test the difference between lecturers' teaching effectiveness self-assessment with position grade and teaching experience. Four TESA's constructs: engagement, motivation empathy, support feedback and reflective were at a significant difference with position grade. However, none of the constructs under TESA has a significant difference with teaching experience. Thus, lack of experience in conducting ODL and not being technology savvy could be the prominent reasons.
