Systematic analysis of hsa-miR-363 gene overexpression pattern in endometrial stromal cells

Abstract: Endometriosis is a benign disease, but has invasion and metastasis characteristics similar to malignant tumors. Clinically, it is a difficult problem of gynecological clinical treatment for its high recurrence rate. It has been confirmed that miR-363 was downregulated in endometriosis tissues and miR-363 overexpression inhibited the invasion ability of endometrial stromal cells (ESCs). In order to explore the potential mechanism of miR-363-reduced ESC migration and invasion progression, we sought to demonstrat… Show more

“…MicroRNA-363 (miR-363) is one of the miRNAs screened to be downregulated in papillary thyroid cancer [ 9 ]. Previous experiments prove that the miR-363 overexpression inhibited the invasion ability of endometrial stromal cells [ 10 ], proving that the abnormal expression of miR-363 may be of important significance in the pathogenesis of EMs. Some research verifies that the miR-363 expression is downregulated in multiple malignant tumors, which significantly promotes tumor cell growth and proliferation [ 11 13 ].…”

“…These miRNAs were chosen as currently these miRNAs have not been identified as having differential expression in endometriosis, so were most appropriate for normalisation of data. However, it is important to note that these miRNAs may regulate endometrial cell processes important in endometriosis pathogenesis such as cell proliferation, adhesion and invasion (Li et al., 2018 ; Pan et al., 2017 ). For future research investigating EV miRNAs in cervical brushes or vaginal swabs, more in‐depth RNA analysis such as sequencing in a larger cohort of case and control samples could help to identify miRNAs that have stable abundance within cervico‐vaginal fluid EVs for normalisation strategies.…”
