Ceruletide administered s.c. prior to ischemia attenuated delayed neuronal cell death in the hippocampal CA1 area following ischemic changes induced by 5-min occlusion of the bilateral carotid arteries of Mongolian gerbils (16). Concurrently, ischemia-induced hyperlocomotion and amnestic behaviors in gerbils 24 h after ischemia were attenuated.…”
