System Model for Smart Precision Farming for High Crop Yielding

Abstract: The meticulous application of Sensing and Machine Learning technology in precision farming has optimized the irrigation resources, improved the quality of crops, minimizes the risk of diseases in fields and reduces the energy consumption. The proper crop management and proper placement of seeds also controls the crop diseases as well as reduces the expenses of irrigation and pesticides etc. The diseases that can be caused in various stages are monitored by proper visual identification of the disease a… Show more

“…Precision agriculture occurs to use an IoRT approach to deploy herbicide, fertilizer, or irrigation, aiming to manage different scopes, such as variations of crop sizes, light, and weather conditions [ 78 , 82 ]. The main goal of this farm management approach is to efficiently reduce farm resources, limiting the cost of agricultural production, while maximizing the yield.…”

“…Matter-of-factly, semi-autonomous tractors have been common for decades [1]. Agricultural vehicle automation can reduce costs, by operating longer hours without the need of employing personnel, and, most importantly, is an enabling technology for precision farming, a farm management approach that uses real time information on the state of the crops, and responds-as automatically as possible-to varying crops conditions [2,3].…”
