Abstract:The fabrication of polymeric optical fibers (POFs) must consider the obtain of very transparent, homogeneous, compatible and processable materials, the possibility to conform them in structures with diverse degrees of sophistication, and the fulfillment of the operation characteristics imposed on the finally obtained fibers.
