The detection and defense of malicious attacks are critical to the proper functioning of network security. Due to the diversity and rapid updates of the attack methods used by attackers, traditional defense mechanisms have been challenged. In this context, a more effective method to predict vulnerabilities in network systems is considered an urgent need to protect network security. In this paper, we propose a formal modeling and analysis approach based on Petri net vulnerability exploitation. We used the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)-2021-3711 vulnerability source code to build a model. A patch model was built to address the problems of this model. Finally, the time injected by the actual attacker and the time simulated by the software were calculated separately. The results showed that the simulation time was shorter than the actual attack time, and ultra-real-time simulation could be achieved. By modeling the network system with this method, the model can be found to arrive at an illegitimate state according to the structure of Petri nets themselves and thus discover unknown vulnerabilities. This method provides a reference method for exploring unknown vulnerabilities.

When implementing a pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) for neural network chaos-based systems on FPGAs, chaotic degradation caused by numerical accuracy constraints can have a dramatic impact on the performance of the PRNG. To suppress this degradation, a PRNG with a feedback controller based on a Hopfield neural network chaotic oscillator is proposed, in which a neuron is exposed to electromagnetic radiation. We choose the magnetic flux across the cell membrane of the neuron as a feedback condition of the feedback controller to disturb other neurons, thus avoiding periodicity. The proposed PRNG is modeled and simulated on Vivado 2018.3 software and implemented and synthesized by the FPGA device ZYNQ-XC7Z020 on Xilinx using Verilog HDL code. As the basic entropy source, the Hopfield neural network with one neuron exposed to electromagnetic radiation has been implemented on the FPGA using the high precision 32-bit Runge Kutta fourth-order method (RK4) algorithm from the IEEE 754-1985 floating point standard. The post-processing module consists of 32 registers and 15 XOR comparators. The binary data generated by the scheme was tested and analyzed using the NIST 800.22 statistical test suite. The results show that it has high security and randomness. Finally, an image encryption and decryption system based on PRNG is designed and implemented on FPGA. The feasibility of the system is proved by simulation and security analysis.

A Pythagorean fuzzy Petri net based security assessment model for civil aviation airport security inspection information system

This paper investigates the problem of the existing information system security situation assessment models that are less concerned about fuzzy factors and lack of reasoning. First, Pythagorean fuzzy sets are adopted to deal with the ambiguity and uncertainty of the civil aviation airport security inspection information system security situation indicators, and a Pythagorean fuzzy Petri nets (PFPNs) model is established according to the indicator system. Then, based on the characteristics of PFPN, the propositions credibility reasoning algorithm and the security situation fuzzy reasoning algorithm are designed. Finally, the feasibility of the model is verified through the assessment experiment on the security inspection information system of a civil aviation airport. The experimental results show that the PFPN model has better stability and lower algorithm time complexity compared with other models.
