“…Aqueous solutions of the ligands (0.1 mM) electrolyte without lipase presented conductivities of 12-13 mS cm -1 , which confirms an intense dissociation process of zwitterion structures according to reference [30]. In all systems, a constant decrease of conductivity in time was recorded with 2 mS cm -1 after the first and second day, and after that it remained almost constant ( Figure 2).…”

“…25 Very recently, two novel uranium complexes were reported involving the tripodal flexible zwitterion 1,1′,1″-(2,4,6-trimethylbenzene-1,3,5-triyl)-tris(methylene)-tris(pyridine-4-carboxylic acid) trichlorine (H 3 LCl 3 ). 26 This contribution is devoted to the reactivity of a ditopic carboxylate ligand bearing the imidazolium group (i.e., 1,3bis(carboxymethyl)imidazolium; noted imdc) with an aqueous uranyl nitrate solution under mild hydrothermal condition. Actually, this flexible zwitterionic dicarboxylate linker was mainly considered for the preparation of crystalline salts with alkaline-earth cations (Ca, Sr, Ba) 27 or for the formation coordination polymers with transition metals (Cu, Mn, Co, Zn), 28−30 lanthanides (La, Pr, Nd, Er), 31,32 or lead 33 metallic elements.…”

“…The photoluminescence spectrum of uranium complexes appears as a broad peak in the range of 400–650 nm, and it can be detected with a microsecond lifetime. The broad peak, which originates mainly within the uranyl ion, is a result of the transfer of an electron from the oxygen orbital to a vacant uranium 5f orbital. , The ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) spectra of uranium complexes have been found to be more complicated when their equatorially coordinated ligands have a π-conjugation system, which then provokes other electronic transitions, including ligand-centered charge transfer. The conjugation system acts as an antenna and facilitates energy transfer; consequently, it influences the fluorescence wavelength by shifting its position. , …”
