Silver I 7500Synthesis, Structure, and Properties of Ag5Se(PO4) and Ag5Te(PO4) with Two--Dimensional Framework Trapping Anions. -The new title compounds are synthesized from equimolar amounts of Ag3(PO4) and Ag2Se or Ag2Te (875 K, 5 d) and their structure is determined by powder XRD. The isostructural compounds crystallize in the tetragonal space group P4/nmm with Z = 2. The crystal structures contain a positively charged silver-chalcogen framework with Ag-Ag bonds ranging from 2.89 to 3.23 Å, and discrete tetrahedral ions. The compounds are further characterized by IR and Raman spectroscopy and by conductivity measurements. Ag5Te(PO4) has a room temperature conductivity of 4.5·10 -5 S/m. -(SHESTIMEROVA, T.
