“…Three bands at 15,625, 24,213 and 26,525 cm −1 were assignable to 4 T 1g → 6 A 1g , 4 T 2g (G) → 6 A 1g and 4 T 1g (D) → 6 A 1g transitions, respectively, in the diffused reflectance spectrum of the Mn(II) complex . The presence of Mn(II) complex in octahedral structure was confirmed from the magnetic moment value of 5.77 BM From the diffused reflectance spectrum it was observed that, the Fe(III) chelate exhibited a band at 22,883 cm −1 , which may be assigned to the 6 A 1g → T 2g (G) transition in octahedral geometry of the complex . The 6 A 1g → 5 T 1g transition appeared to be split into two bands at 18.018 and 17,452 cm −1 .…”

“…The observed magnetic moment of Fe(III) complex was 5.61 B.M. Thus, the complexes formed have the octahedral geometry . The spectrum showed also a band at 26,595 cm −1 which may attributed to ligand‐ metal charge transfer.…”

“…The Schiff base ligand shows two bands at 254 and 281 nm. The first band at 254 nm might be attributed to π–π* transition of the heterocyclic moieties . The second band appearing at 281 nm might be attributed to the n–π* transition of the azomethine group.…”
