Abstract:Single crystals of 3-acetylpyridinium picrate (I) and 4-acetylpyridinium picrate (II) were grown in slow evaporation environments. Harvested crystals were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, infrared spectrum, diffuse reflectance and photoluminescence spectrum, thermal and Hirshfeld surface analysis. Crystal (I) crystallizes a triclinic crystal system with a centric (Pī) space group and (II) crystallizes in a monoclinic system with a centric (P21/c) space group. The molecule is associated with a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
