“…Although, XRD pattern of core/shell and core/shell/Si MSs displays all diffraction planes can be readily indexed to pure hexagonal rhabdophane YPO 4 phase (JCPDS No.42-0082), which are in good agreement with the previously reported observations[7,10,21,27,28]. No impurity peak related to amorphous carbonate, oxides or phosphates are detected over the entire range of XRD, confirming the phase purity, successful doping of europium ion into the YPO 4 crystal lattice as well as LaPO 4 layer deposition over the YPO 4 :Eu MSs.…”

“…Similar lenticular-shaped and bundle-like (Eu, Tb)-doped YPO 4 nanoparticles were obtained also by Majeed et al by MW irradiation route at 150 °C under acidic conditions . Undoped YPO 4 ·0.8 H 2 O and Er-doped YPO 4 nanoparticles with single-phase structures and defined morphologies were also prepared by the MW-hydrothermal treatment at 200 °C by varying the experimental conditions and the duration of MW heating from 60 min to 4 h. , Zu et al prepared Eu-doped yttrium phosphate hydrates with tetragonal structure through MW-assisted processing by using urea, trimethylammonium bromide, and ethylene glycol as organic additives. Crystalline spherical-shaped particles with diameters ranging from ∼0.7 to 1.5 μm were obtained after calcination under flowing oxygen at 1000 °C .…”

“…Moreover, it allows obtaining materials having specifically tuned properties and tailored morphologies . In the past decade, some authors reported the synthesis of Eu 3+ :YPO 4 by MWs. ,,, Rodriguez-Liviano et al prepared mesoporous undoped and RE-doped YPO 4 (RE = Eu, Tb, and Ce) nanophosphors with lenticular morphology by aging ethylene glycol solutions of yttrium and RE 3+ acetylacetonates and phosphoric acid in a microwave oven in the temperature range of 80–150 °C for 60 min . Similar lenticular-shaped and bundle-like (Eu, Tb)-doped YPO 4 nanoparticles were obtained also by Majeed et al by MW irradiation route at 150 °C under acidic conditions .…”
