Abstract:A novel isoniazid based Schiff base ligand was synthesized by the condensation of 5-acetyl-N-(adamantan-2-yl)thiophene-2-carboxamide (1 mmol) and isoniazid (1 mmol). Metal complexes were prepared by reacting the Schiff base with metal(II) chloride (M = Ni2+, Cu2+ and Co2+), formed the novel metal coordination compound.
