Cobalt-doped zinc ferrite is a contemporary material with significant structural and magnetic characteristics. Our study explores the magnetic properties of cobalt-substituted zinc ferrite (Zn x Co 1−x Fe 2 O 4 ), synthesized via a simple sol−gel method. By varying the cobalt ratio from 0 to 0.5, we found that zinc substitution impacts both the magnetization and lattice parameters. FTIR analysis suggested the presence of functional groups, particularly depicting an M−O stretching band, within octahedral and tetrahedral clusters. X-ray diffraction analysis confirmed the phase purity and cubic structure. The synthesized materials exhibited an average particle size of 24−75 nm. Scanning electron microscopy revealed the morphological properties, confirming the formation of truncated octahedral particles. In order to determine the stability, mass loss (%), and thermal behavior, a thermal analysis (thermogravimetric analysis (TGA)/differential thermal analysis (DTA)) was performed. The magnetic properties of the synthesized ferrites were confirmed via a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM). Finally, the highest saturated magnetization and lowest coercivity values were observed with higher concentrations of the cobalt dopant substituting zinc. The synthesized nanomaterials have good stability as compared to other such materials and can be used for magnetization in the near future.

In this study, we have reported the synthesis of both pure and bismuth‐doped lead oxide nanoparticles using solvothermal method. The synthesized nanomaterials were analyzed to assess their structure, crystallinity, phase, maximum absorption and band gap. The electrical characteristics of the fabricated nanostructures were evaluated using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electron impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The maximum specific capacitance and energy density, 349.96 F/g and 95.27 Wh/g respectively, were attained at a scan rate of 200 mV/s in pure lead oxide. The synthesized pure lead oxide has displayed remarkable cyclic stability, retaining approximately 83 % of its performance even after undergoing 2000 cycles. The addition of bismuth to the lead oxide appeared to inhibit the electrochemical properties of lead oxide due to bismuth ion adsorption. This effect is directly concerned with the amount of dopant which predicted the increase in bismuth contents potentially suppressed the performance of the lead oxide. Our study provides insights into the possible uses of lead oxides in energy storage and conversion devices by revealing a previously unexplored method for optimizing their electrochemical characteristics. The understanding of oxide‐based materials in materials science and electrochemistry is expected to advance with the use of this novel technology.

This work describes a controlled and low-cost synthesis method to obtain Pb/Pb 3 O 4 nanocomposites using synthetic zeolite 4A. The nanostructures obtained have a core−shell configuration with 5−25 nm diameters. Highresolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), BF, high-angle annular dark-field annular scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and ultraviolet−visible (UV−vis) characterization techniques were used. Crystallographic planes ( 111), ( 200), and (220) for the core and planes ( 110) and ( 211) for the shell, corresponding to FCC and tetragonal structures for Pb and Pb 3 O 4 , respectively, were determined using HRTEM. The HAADF-STEM images allowed the analysis of intensity contrast images proportional to the number of atoms. XPS spectral analysis showed a 4.8 eV difference in binding energy between Pb 4f 7/2 and Pb 4f 5/2 for lead and lead oxide. EDS elemental mapping, XPS, and UV−vis spectroscopy analyses revealed the simultaneous presence of lead and lead oxide in the same structure. The band gap obtained for the shell was determined to be 4.50 eV. Consequently, Pb/Pb 3 O 4 nanocomposites show a higher response to highenergy photons, making them suitable for UV photocatalysis applications.
