Synthesis of the Geometric Isomers of the 1,2,4‐trimethylcyclohexanes

Abstract

The four geometric isomers of the 1,2,4‐trimethylcyclohexanes, ctt, ctc, cct and ccc have been synthesized, characterized and their physical constants determined. In the course of the work the stereospecifity of a catalytic reduction method of some olefins and the WOLFF‐KISHNER reduction of some ketones were demonstrated.
