Synthesis of Sr2AlH7 by Ball Milling Followed by Hydrogenation.

Abstract: Aluminum I 2100Synthesis of Sr 2 AlH 7 by Ball Milling Followed by Hydrogenation. -The title compound is synthesized by ball milling of Sr2Al (obtained by induction melting of Sr and Al metals) under hydrogen (150 rpm, 10 h) followed by hydrogenation or sintering (autoclave, 7 MPa H2, 533 K, 2 d). The yield of Sr2AlH7 in the hydrogenated product is 66 wt%, which is larger than that in the sintered product.
