Synthesis of Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose-Based Hydrogel from Durian (Durio zibethinus) Rind Using Aluminium Sulphate as Crosslinking Agent
Abstract:Also the chemical cross-linker can give a more physically stable hydrogel, but the major disadvantage of a chemical crosslinking agent is its toxic effect on humans. Therefore, this study was conducted to synthesize non-toxic cellulose-based hydrogels from durian (Durio zibethinus) rind waste using aluminium sulphate as a chemical crosslinking agent.
