“…no more than three layers of CCG sheets. The earlier studies on CCG-based composites mainly focused on the preparation of intercalated composites [54][55][56][57][58] and LBL assembled composite fi lms. [59][60][61] CCG/inorganic material (including metal, metal oxide, salt, and nano-carbon) [ 30 , 55 , 62 , 63 ] and CCG/small organic compound [ 64 , 65 ] composites have received less attention.…”

“…[38] Prior to our report of an unusual increase in electrical conductivity for G-PANI composites, very little work had been done on such systems especially Raman investigations. The systems previously reported in literature were GO-PANI composites, [25,26] G-PANI composites with low concentration of graphite (i.e., <5%), [41,42] and our work on G-PANI composites with graphite concentrations from 0 to 100% [31,[43][44][45] . No correlation has been reported so far between the structural changes, as reflected by Raman and XRD data, with the corresponding thermal stability and the unusual increase in electrical conductivity for different ratios of G:PANI.…”

“…The low conductivities, on the order of 10 À7 S cm À1 for GO and 10 À3 S cm À1 for GO-PANI composite, are due to the modification of the graphite layers with hydroxyl, carbonyl, and ether group functionalities. [25,26] Polyaniline ( Fig. 1a) has been among the most studied conductive polymers because of its excellent environmental stability and multiple technological applications.…”

“…Polyaniline is a promising conjugated polymer because of its simple synthesis, high conductivity, and excellent environmental stability, although it is associated with rather poor properties with respect to processing. Consequently, there are many reports focusing on the preparation of novel nanocomposites consisting of PANI with various layered materials such as V 2 O 5 xerogel, [6] MoO 3 bronze, [7] graphitic oxide, [8] α-RuCl 3 , [9] montmorillonite, [10] and layered metal phosphates.
