Synthesis of Novel Phenanthroline Derivatives by [3 + 2] Dipolar Cycloaddition Reaction.

Abstract

Reaction. -Some new pyrrolophenanthroline derivatives are prepared by 3+2 dipolar cycloaddition of phenanthrolinium ylides with acetylene dicarboxylate (II) or propiolate (IV) (11 examples in all).
