“…XPS analysis was also performed to investigate the oxidation state of vanadium. The XPS spectrum of the V 2p 3/2 peak (Figure S5) is composed of two peaks at 516.5 and 517.7 eV as well, corresponding to V 4+ and V 5+ , respectively . The average valence of vanadium is +4.80, close to the valance state of the sample before annealing process, suggesting that no transfer of electron occurred through thermal treatment, which is different from previous experimental finding of β‐Li x V 2 O 5 …”

“…To further identify the oxidation state of vanadium in δ‐Ca 0.24 V 2 O 5 ⋅ H 2 O, an X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurement was carried out and the result is shown in Figure S2. The XPS spectrum of the V 2p 3/2 peak consists of two peaks at 516.5 and 517.7 eV, corresponding to V 4+ and V 5+ , respectively, which confirms the presence of mixed‐valence vanadium bronze . The average valence of vanadium is +4.79 calculated from XPS data by their peak area ratios, which is close to the valance state of V in δ‐Ca 0.24 V 2 O 5 ⋅ H 2 O.…”

“…The HNVO also showed the diffraction peaks of a pure phase and was indexed to a monoclinic phase of NaV 6 O 15 (JCPDS No. [39] The band at 278 cm −1 presents the VO bending vibration modes. [36,37] From these observations, the samples synthesized using K 2 S 2 O 8 and Na 2 S 2 O 8 show a considerable influence on the cation in V 2 O 5 phase by forming a new phase or an additional mixed crystalline phase.…”

“…The major peak at 143 cm −1 was associated with the vibrations of V-O-V chains, and it indicates the formation of V 2 O 5 layered structure. [39] The band at 278 cm −1 presents the VO bending vibration modes. [40] The Raman modes observed at 405 and 689 cm −1 in the AVO sample represent the stretching mode of triply coordinated oxygen (V 3 O) and doubly coordinated oxygen (VOV) bonds respectively.…”

“…Ammonium metavanadate (NH 4 VO 3 ) plays an important role in the preparation and purification of vanadium compounds, including, for example, NH 4 V 3 O 8 , NH 4 V 4 O 10, (NH 4 ) 0.6 V 2 O 5 , and V 2 O 5, V 6 O 13 [1,2,3,4,5,6,7]. These vanadium oxides and their derivatives are of huge interest, mainly due to their Li-ion intercalation properties.…”
