Synthesis of Novel a-Amino Acids Bearing 1,2,4-triazinone and Steroidal Moieties as Enzymetic Affect (Cellobiase Activity) Part I

Abstract: An imperative class of α-amino acids bearing 1,2,4-triazinone and N,C-disubstituted glycine (5a,b) and/or the related systems (6 and 7) have been synthesized by the condensation of 6-(2'-aminophenyl-4-phenyl-3-thion -1,2,4-triazin-5-one (1) with the appropriate steroids, Epiandrosteron (2a) and Dehydrosterone (2b), followed by the addition of hydrocyanic acid. Nucleophilic substitution of mercapto group of (5) by 4-fluoroaniline and sulfanilamide give the corresponding systems 6 and 7. Compounds 6,7, 5, and 4 … Show more

“…[12] On the other hand, steroids form a group of structurally related compounds that are widely distributed in mammalians and, thus representing one of the most important class of natu-cally characterized and their redox potentials, determined by cyclic voltammetry, reveal three reversible reduction waves for monocycloadducts (8, 9 and 11, 12), whereas dumbbell-type derivative 10 exhibits the best electron-accepting abilities of the Bingel-type fullerene-steroid series. [15][16][17] In particular, the roles of sterols in diverse biological systems have been widely studied, and it has been determined that hydroxyl groups have a strong impact in the interaction with the receptor. ral products.…”

“…[13,14] It has also been shown that certain structural modifications induced the change of biological response, giving compounds with a wide scope of biological activity. [15][16][17] In particular, the roles of sterols in diverse biological systems have been widely studied, and it has been determined that hydroxyl groups have a strong impact in the interaction with the receptor. [18,19] The synthesis of hybrid molecules by covalent linkage of steroids to [60]fullerene is an interesting topic, and nowadays is a common approach in the pursuit of compounds for biomedical and chemical applications.…”
