Abstract:5,6-Di(pyridin-2-yl)-3-thioxo-2,3-dihydropyridazine-4-carbonitrile 2 has been reacted with ahalocompounds, such as chloroacetone, chloroacetamide, ethyl chloroacetate and chloroacetic acid gave the corresponding 2-S-alkylated pyridazine derivatives 3, 6, 10 and 13 which have been cyclised to give the corresponding thienopyridazine derivatives 4, 7, 11, and 14 respectively. Reaction of 15 with hydrazine hydrate gave the corresponding pyrazolopyridazine 16.
followed by the reaction with thiourea, guanidine carbonate, and hydroxylamine hydrochloride gave the corresponding thienopyridine derivatives. The biological activity of some new compounds has been discussed.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
