Synthesis of new coumarin[1,3]oxazine derivatives of 7‐hydroxy‐6‐isobornyl‐4‐methylcoumarin and their antioxidant activity

Abstract: In this work, we synthesized a series of new 9,10‐dihydro‐2H,8H‐chromeno[8,7e][1,3]oxazine‐2‐on derivatives which incorporate isobornylcoumarin and 1,3‐oxazine moieties. A structure‐antioxidant activity relationship was analyzed. A comparative evaluation of their radical scavenging activity, antioxidant and membrane‐protective properties was carried out in test with DPPH, as well as on the models of Fe2+/ascorbate‐initiated lipid peroxidation and oxidative hemolysis of mammalian red blood cells. The results su… Show more

“…The metabolomic analysis also found some compounds in yellow mushrooms, such as vanillic acid, 6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, skimmine, curdione, α-ionone, phytocassane D, and eudesmic acid, that were not detected in white mushrooms ( Table S2 ). These compounds have high medicinal values, including antibacterial, antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties and enhance the health benefits of yellow mushrooms [ 30 , 31 , 32 , 33 , 34 ].…”

“…Popova and colleagues synthesized novel [1,3]oxazine derivatives of 7-hydroxy-6isobornyl-4-methylcoumarin [45]. Total antioxidant activity was measured in vitro in terms of the inhibition of Fenton-reaction-induced lipid peroxidation in mouse brain homogenates (1 h incubation at 37 centigrade), followed by TBA reaction.…”

“…These findings highlight the potential of 4-hydroxycoumarin as valuable compound with significant therapeutic applications. [74,75] In this context, Gu and his research group were successful in carrying out the reaction of salicylaldehyde 1, 1,3-cyclohexanedione 7 and 4-hydroxy-2Hchromen-2-one 35 to afford coumarin substituted fused chromenes 36 (Scheme 15). [54] Similarly, Das et al developed a highly product-selective three-component reaction of salicylaldehydes 1, active methylene compounds 7, 11, 2 and coumarin 35 to construct coumarin-substituted chromenes 37, 38, 39 (Scheme 16).…”
