Synthesis of N-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl) Acrylamide Copolymer Emulsions and their Antibacterial, Thermal and Mechanical Properties

Abstract: N-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl) acrylamide (CPAM) monomer was synthesized and copolymerized with BA and MMA using varying concentration of CPAM monomer via seed batch emulsion polymerization technique. The resultant CPAM copolymers were characterized by FT-IR spectroscopy. Thermal behaviors of CPAM copolymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).
