Synthesis of monoglycosides, bisglycosides and open-chain ketoacetals from sugar derived exocyclic enol ethers

Abstract: Pent-4-enofuranoside derivatives have been converted to glycosides and open-chain ketoacetals on treatment with various alcohols under acidic conditions.
