Synthesis of mixed polysaccharides based on cellulose

Abstract: Eingegangen a m 13. September 1968) SUMMARY:The alkaline saponification of cellulose tosylates containing the tosyloxy group at various carbon atoms of the basic unit has been studied. It has been found that this reaction leads to the formation of mixed polysaccharides containing 2.3-and 3.6-anhydrorings.
