Synthesis of Functionalised 2,5-Diaminofurans by Reaction of Isocyanides, Acetylenic Esters and Acid Anhydrides

Abstract: The reaction between two equivalents of an isocyanide, a dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates and an acid anhydride at room temperature provides a simple and efficient one-pot route for the synthesis of 2,5-diaminofuran derivatives in high yields. The reaction is characterised by mild conditions, short reaction time and tolerance to various functional groups.
