Synthesis of enzymatic hydrogels and their application in biosensors

Abstract

In recent years, polymer-based hydrogels have become the unique electrode modification material, which provides a new idea for the design of new biosensors. Furthermore, enzymes have been used to catalyze the polymerization of various hydrogels due to their high specificity, low toxicity and high catalytic efficiency. In this paper, we discussed several synthesis methods of enzymatic hydrogels and their potential application in cell metabolites, tissue engineering, wound healing, and cancer surveillance. Concluding remarks and future prospects regarding preparation and application of biosensor based on enzymatic gel reaction were provided at the end.
