Synthesis of bismaleate pentaerythritol ester and its application as PVC auxiliary heat stabilizer

Abstract: Diethylene glycol and maleic anhydride are used as raw materials to prepare bismaleic acid dibasic acid without catalyst. This intermediate product reacts with pentaerythritol (PER) to obtain bismaleate pentaerythritol (MDPP) as an auxiliary heat stabilizer. The structure of the product was verified by Fourier infrared test and hydrogen nuclear magnetic spectrum analysis. The ether bond, ester group, carbon–carbon double bond, polyol, and other characteristic structures contained in the molecule can improve th… Show more

“…1 H-NMR spectra provide more detailed information about the chemical environ of the H atom and, thus, provide an insight into the hydrogen bonding interactio molecules. Increasing the strength of the hydrogen bonding interactions can induce c ical shifts toward downfield because the protons are more strongly deshielded w stronger hydrogen bonds participate [43]. Figure 6 shows the perature was adjusted to 298 K to produce phase separation to concentrate amino acids in one phase to achieve extraction.…”

“…The mixture was uniformly spread onto an elongated glass plate, resulting in a film of approximately 1 mm thickness. The film was then subjected to heating in a 120 °C oven for about 30 min to promote plasticization and shaping 25 . The formulation of PVC samples was shown in Table 1.…”

“…The organic additives such as P-GT 4 and P-AZ 3 may also decompose at this temperature. The second stage of weight loss within 400°C-600°C likely results from the cyclization of conjugated polyene sequence, which leads to the formation of aromatic compounds [34]. Moreover, the carbonization of organic compounds at such a high temperature is also responsible for weight loss at this stage.…”
