Synthesis of Arylpropiolic Acids via Carboxylation of Arylacetylenic Grignard Reagents

Abstract: A discovery-based experiment for the synthesis of arylpropiolic acids via carboxylation of arylacetylenic Grignard reagents was developed. This experiment shows the "dual utility" of Grignard reagents.
