The synthesis of pyrazole derivative using α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl compounds has attracted increasing attention of the synthetic organic chemist community. Interestingly, the simplicity of the synthetic method, high reactivity, and ease of incorporating diversity into the desired prototype have contributed a lot toward the exploration of α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl compounds by various research groups. Due to the tremendous pharmacological significance of pyrazole derivatives, their synthesis has been one of the leading research frontiers in recent years. As prime examples, sildenafil, zometapin, Celebrex, and rimonabant have been successfully commercialized in the market to treat various life‐challenging diseases. Considering the great profile of α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl compound in the synthesis of biologically active pyrazole derivatives, this review incorporates contemporary literature (2011–2022) on the synthesis of pyrazole and its derivatives using α,β‐unsaturated carbonyl compound as a starting precursor.

This research work presents spectral characterizations (IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR) of anionic tellurito Cd(II) complexes that prepared using cyanopyridine derivatives as a polydentate ligands. Also, X-ray based techniques involving (EDX and XRD) are applied for cadmium complexes to realize elemental composition and average crystallographic coherence. Moreover, the electrochemical studies represented on cyclic voltammetry are determined for Cd)II) in (absence/presence) of ligands to detect the role of complexation in solution measurements. All the previous experimental investigations are supported with molecular modeling of the geometric optimized structures based on density function theory (DFT) for all compounds accompanied by the calculations of different energetic parameters such as EHOMO and ELUMO. Finally, anti-microbial (antibacterial and antifungal), anti-oxidant and Bleomycin dependent DNA damage are screened for all samples to predict the influence of metal complex formation on the biological activity of pyridyl ligands besides their priority.

A series of 2-(4-(1-isonicotinoyl-5-aryl-4,5-dihydro-1H-pyrazol-3-yl)phenoxy)-N-arylacetamides has been synthesized in appreciable yields. The quantitative determination and redox behavior of the synthesized compounds was estimated by electrochemical technique using cyclic voltammetry (CV). For this purpose highly sensitive and stable zinc oxide (ZnO)-multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composite lm modi ed glassy carbon electrode (GCE) (ZnO-MWCNTs/GCE) was used as a working electrode. The increase in effective surface area of modi ed GCE from that of unembellished GCE of 0.0314 cm 2 upto 0.081 cm 2 resulted in better electrocatalytic activity in terms of responses of the compounds under investigation. The composite lm modi ed GCE resulted into an excellent sensor for the reported compounds in terms of low potential detection, a low detection limit, fast and clear response. Moreover the effect of pH, varying scan rates, solvents, electrolytes, concentration, and substituents (in terms of Hammett equation) have also been analyzed on the CV responses of the modi ed GCE. The incorporation of ZnO nanoparticles with multi walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) greatly increases the voltammetric peak current and electrochemical reactivity of the compounds. The electrochemical sensor shows excellent analytical performance and exhibited a wide detection range from 0.0001 M to 0.0003 M. The studies delineated the diffusion-controlled and irreversible behavior of electrocatalytic reaction for all the compounds under investigation.
