Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Electrical Properties of the Molybdenum Oxide Na1.92Mg2.04Mo

Abstract: New molybdenum oxide Na1.92Mg2.04Mo3O12 has been synthesized by the solid state method. The title compound crystallizes in the triclinic system (space group P-1). The unit cell parameters are a = 6.9660(7) Å, b = 8.6352(8) Å, c = 10.2501(8) Å, α = 106.938(1)°, β = 104.825(1)°, γ = 103.206(1)°, V = 538.72(9) Å3, and Z = 2. The compound is isotypical to Ag2M2(MoO4)3 (M = Zn, Mg, Co, Mn).
