Synthesis, Characterization, and Processing of Cordierite‐Glass Particles Modified by Coating with an Alumina Precursor

Abstract: The surfaces of cordierite and glass particles were modified by coating them with an alumina precursor using a precipitation process in the presence of urea. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, electrophoresis, and rheological measurements were used to characterize the coated powders.
