Synthesis, characterization and gas sensing performance of aluminosilicate azide cancrinite

Abstract: The present investigation deals with synthesis and gas sensing performance of Na 8 [AlSiO 4 ] 6 (N 3) 2.4 (H 2 O) 4.6 cancrinite-based thick film. The product obtained was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, thermogravimetric analysis and magic-angle spin nuclear magnetic resonance (MAS NMR). The crystal structure of the product was determined from X-ray powder diffraction data by applying Rietveld refinement. Refinement showed that azide c… Show more

“…5,6 Furthermore, it has been used in biological and gas sensors. 5,7,8 Most zeolite minerals, including aluminum silicates, are commercially available in powder form, although aluminum silicate thin films may be applicable as ion-sensing surfaces in electronic devices. If low-temperature deposition on polymer films is possible, ion-sensing devices can be enabled in flexible electronics.…”
