Synthesis, Characterization, and Fluorescence Studies of Novel Heterocyclic Azo Dyes Derived from Benzothiazole

Abstract: Ten novel fluorescent azo disperse dyes 2a–e (open forms) and 3a–e (closed forms) were obtained by the coupling reaction of carbocyclic amine based diazonium chloride with compounds 2 and 3. The synthesized dyes were characterized by elemental analysis, high‐resolution mass spectrometry, Fourier transform infrared, and NMR spectral techniques. Moreover, we investigated the substituent effect and solvatochromic properties of the dyes on absorption and fluorescence spectra. At the same time, the absorption and e… Show more

“…Because an increase in the doses of the compounds is predicted to cause an increase in the degree of the activity, the compounds should be experienced at higher doses, and the activation mechanisms of the compounds should be elaborated on the details. The syntheses of compound 1 and compounds 2(a-e), using reaction routes based on our previous work, are shown in Figures 5 and 6 [20].…”

“…[1] Heterocyclic compounds and their derivatives have been an important field of study for chemists for many years due to their use in pharmacological and biochemical disciplines. [2][3][4][5][6][7][8] Examples of these types of compounds are pyrazole, [9,10] tetrahydroquinolines, [11] 1,2,3,4-tetrazine, [12] thiazole, [13,14] 2thiazoline, [15] benzothiazole, [16] pyrimidine. [17] Among heterocyclic compounds, thiadiazole class compounds have found their place in many studies.…”
