“…The spectra were deconvolved in the visible region and the position of the maxima along with the calculated values and the proposed assignment of the bands are listed in Table 3. Assignments were established from reported data of related complexes [5,8,[45][46][47] and with the help of TD-DFT calculations. Molecular orbitals involved in the transitions are depicted in Figure S3.…”

“…This fact indicates that the metallocenter itself plays a crucial part in the anticancer action. 24,25 But only a small number of copper complexes demonstrated notable anticancer efficacy against OS cells. 26−28 This fact is mainly attributed to ligands working together with the Cu center.…”

“…Additionally, distinct copper complexes exhibited anticancer activity that was greater than that of their ligands. This fact indicates that the metallocenter itself plays a crucial part in the anticancer action. , But only a small number of copper complexes demonstrated notable anticancer efficacy against OS cells. This fact is mainly attributed to ligands working together with the Cu center. To this point, N-acylhydrazones constitute a particularly interesting group of Schiff bases.…”

“…As a model case we select a binuclear copper complex with Schiff bases that may represent the coordination environment for copper-substituted zeolites and similar structures with multinuclear sites. These molecules exhibit also high biological activity (Arunadevi & Raman, 2020;Vlasenko et al, 2020;Burlov et al, 2018), while the Cu-Cu distance and nature of the bridge ligation affects the super exchange interaction between bridged ligands (Adhikary & Koner, 2010;Mei et al, 2017). The use of a model compound opens a unique opportunity to compare results obtained within several approaches and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (XRD).…”
