Synthesis, characterization and crystal structures of hydrazone compounds derived from isonicotinohydrazide

Abstract

ABSTRACT. New isonicotinohydrazone compounds,isonicotinohydrazide (1) and N'-(2,3-difluorobenzylidene)isonicotinohydrazide (2), were prepared and structurally characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV and 1 H NMR spectra, and single crystal X-ray determination. Compound 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n with unit cell dimensions a = 7.600 (2)
