Synthesis, characterization, and antioxidant activities of imine compounds

Abstract: Monomeric complexes of the ligand H 2 L, with the general formula [M (HL 2 ) 2 ] with (M (II) = Co, Ni, Cu), have been synthesized and characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance ( 1 H-NMR), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), elemental microanalysis, metal content, magnetic moment and molar conductance measurements, molar conductance, and chloride containing. On the basis of experimental evidences, tetrahedral geometry has been proposed for prepar… Show more

“…Imines are formed as intermediate products in biologically important reactions . Complexes of Schiff bases play an important role in the detection of various ions, exhibit biological properties, and are widely used as catalysts . Recently, several studies focused on Schiff bases and their complexes, derivatives of natural products, for example, amino sugars, amino acids, and chitosan .…”
