Abstract:A series of new organotin(IV) compounds [Me2SnL], [Et2SnL], [Bu2SnL] and [Ph2SnL], where L =
2-hydroxy-N-(1-(4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-oxo-2H-pyran-3-yl)ethylidene)benzohydrazide has been
synthesized by refluxing methyl salicylate hydrazide hydrate with dehydroacetic acid (DHA) with the
corresponding organotin(IV) chlorides. All the compounds were characterized by elemental analyses,
FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 119Sn NMR and mass spectrometry. The synthesized complexes found to
have wide therapeutic potential.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
