Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Some Organotin (IV) Complexes with a Potassium Hydrogen Ethanedioate Ligand

Abstract: Four series of organotin (IV) derivatives of potassium hydrogen ethanedioate: Bu 2 SnL 2, Bu 3 SnL, Ph 2 SnL 2 and Ph 3 SnL have been synthesized characterized by tin content analysis, FTIR, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR and tested for antimicrobial activity against four Gram-positive bacteria: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Bacillus cereus, Corynebacterium ulcerans, four Gramnegative Bacteria: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and four fungi strains o… Show more
