Synthesis, characterization, and antimicrobial activity of 3′‐(4‐(2‐substituted thiazol‐4‐yl)phenyl)spiro[indoline‐3,2′‐thiazolidine]‐2,4′‐diones

Abstract: magnified image A series of 3′‐(4‐(2‐methyl/phenyl/benzylthiazol‐4‐yl)phenyl)spiro[indoline‐3,2′‐thiazolidine]‐2,4′‐diones was synthesized. The structures of the synthesized compounds were evaluated by analytical and spectral (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, LC‐MS, and elemental analysis) methods. All the synthesized compounds were screened for qualitative (Zone of inhibition) and quantitative antimicrobial activities (MIC).
