In the present investigation, a totally of 673 newly designed 2,6-diphenyl piperidin-4-one derivatives are docked with 2B7N protein of Helicobacter pylori which causes peptic ulcer disease. The docking studies revealed that 2,6bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3-phenethylpiperidin-4-one (BDPO) is identified as the most promising new compound with active nature against 2B7N with a binding affinity value of-8.0 Kcal/mol. The molecular structure of BDPO has been analyzed by DFT based theoretical calculations at the B3LYP/6-311þþG(d,p) level of theory using the Gaussian 16W program package. The molecular electrostatic potential, Frontier molecular energy gap, and Mulliken population analysis have been used to understand the reactive site of the molecule. The stability and hyper-conjugative interactions were studied by natural bond orbital analysis (NBO) based on a second-order perturbation approach. The thermodynamic properties like thermal energy, specific heat capacity, and entropy at different temperatures were also calculated. The calculated first-order hyper polarizability results show that the title compound is 25.3 times greater than that of standard reference material, urea. So the title molecule is a good non-linear material. Also, this molecule has Van der Waals attraction and steric effect. It undergoes local excitation for the first five excitations.

In the present investigation, an alluring green PEG‐400 mediated one‐pot synthesis of novel 2‐(2‐hydrazinyl)thiazole derivatives from 1,2,6,7‐tetrahydro‐8H‐indeno[5,4‐b]furan‐8‐one has been unveiled via a novel synthetic pathway. The application of PEG in organic reactions as a reaction media is one of the fantastic tools of green chemistry as reactions can be carried out under generous conditions limiting environmental peril and chemical waste. PEG‐400 is recognized as a low‐cost, non‐flammable, environmentally benign, recyclable, and richly available green solvent. A series of novel 2‐(2‐hydrazineyl)thiazole derivatives have been synthesized in good to excellent yield by using the green capability of PEG‐400 solvent. These newly synthesized compounds were tested for their antimicrobial and antioxidant activities. The results revealed that these compounds show good activities compared with the standard. Additionally, all the synthesized compounds exhibit negligible cytotoxicity as compared to the positive control. The structures of all novel compounds reported herein are established using FT‐IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, D2O exchange experiment and HRMS techniques.

Heterocyclic compounds are the ones that have always remained in the limelight owing to their superior contributions toward various disciplines such as biology, medicine, material science, pharmaceutical science, industry and so on. They form the building blocks of DNA and RNA macromolecules. Suitable tuning of these heterocyclic compounds can result in chemotherapeutic moieties with superlative efficiency. Seven‐membered heterocyclic compounds are an important class of heterocyclic chemistry. Some of them are azepine, oxepine, thiepine, diazepine, thiazepine and so on. Transition metal‐catalyzed synthesis of heterocycles has been the most explored in the recent past. Palladium is known as the best suitable catalyst for the same and that is the result of its excellent functional group tolerance and catalytic potency. Here, we intend to summarize the various investigations made on the palladium‐catalyzed synthesis of seven‐membered heterocycles. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first review in this topic and covers literature up to 2020.
