Abstract:The increasing demand for ultraviolet light sources in
various
industries, including security, phototherapy, and sterilization, has
spurred research efforts toward discovering new UV phosphors. Herein,
we introduce LiY9(SiO4)6O2:Pr3+ as a novel ultraviolet-C (UVC) phosphor, synthesized
via the sol–gel technique with varying Pr3+ concentrations
(0, 0.1, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2%). For the first time, this study comprehensively
describes the emission and excitation spectra, as well as the emission
decay kinetics of Pr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
