Abstract:Samples of hydrophobically modifi ed polyacrylic acid containing 1% of alkoxy(С12-С14)oligoethylene glycol methacrylate units have been synthesized by free radical precipitation polymerization. The infl uence of the length of ethoxylated spacer of macromonomers and neutralization degree of carboxylic groups on thickening properties of obtained polymers in water and waterpropylene glycol mixtures at diff erent temperatures has been determined.
