Structured active fiber fabrication and characterization of a chemically high‐purified Dy3+‐doped chalcogenide glass

[], the absorption coefficients α O–H and α S–H values were drastically reduced from 0.24 and 2.29 cm −1 to 0.0069 and 0.0048 cm −1 , deducing the decrease in O–H and S–H impurities concentration from 10.42 and 397.82 ppm to 0.3 and 0.85 ppm, respectively. There exists a small deviation of analytical glass composition from the calculated result and the elemental composition fluctuations are within a reasonable range due to the error of EPMA analysis, indicating that the composition of the host glass can still be maintained as the original one after purification process and that Cl 2 is a good clarifier.…”
