“…Here, we designed and synthesized some novel difluoroboron bis-b-diketonate derivatives containing a pyridyl moiety; and we introduced the electron-donating 4-methyl, 4-methoxyl, electron-withdrawing 4-fluoro and 4-chloro groups into the aromatic substituents of the difluoroboron bis-b-diketonates to investigate their spectroscopic and photoluminescence properties. The design is an extension of our previous work and these difluoroboron pyridine-2,6-bis-b-diketonates could be more sensitive chemical sensors as compared to our previous design [16]. In addition, they will have much stronger photoluminescence intensity and higher quantum yield than difluoroboron bdiketonates in our research [17].…”
