Synthesis and reactivity of 2-azametallacyclobutanes

Abstract: 2-Azametallacyclobutanes have been reported for a number of metals. This Perspective provides a brief overview of 2-azametallacyclobutanes, focusing on complexes in which the ring nitrogen is anionic (amido).
